Dr. Theodora Saridou obtained her PhD from the School of Journalism and Mass Communications at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece in 2022. Her doctorate research focuses on changing conditions in online media due to audience participation in the news production process. She received her BSc in Law and her MSc in Journalism and New Media, both from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Her academic interests include participatory journalism, user-generated content, churnalism and online news production. She has professional experience as a journalist, while part of her research results has been published in leading academic journals and presented in conferences.
